YOO JIN & SAM GET MARRIED: This couple was married last year in South Korea. Most of these photos were taken at a reception they held last weekend for friends and family members here in the U.S. The photos at top of the post with Yoo Jin and Sam in street clothes were shot earlier in that day — they wanted casual, engagement-style portraits, as well.

CLAIRE & HEATHER GET MARRIED: I had the pleasure of photographing Claire and Heather’s wedding celebration which began on a sunlit Sunday afternoon in Long Island City (This couple was officially married at City Hall on July 24th, 2011 – the first day same sex couples could legally marry in New York). Upon arrival, the guests were treated to passed brunch goodies before everyone settled down for the “Un-ceremony” which featured hilarious, yet heartfelt, speeches and toasts from the couple’s many friends. In what was pure serendipity, the Empire State Building (a backdrop in some of these photos) was lit in pink!

YUKIKO & MATTHEW GET MARRIED: It was a picture-perfect day outside for portraits in Central Park and the ambiance was breathtaking inside. Dan Fehlig of The Upper Crust did a fantastic job adding to what is already a glorious space.
Embracing their multi-culturalism, the couple had a traditional Korean tea ceremony followed by a Western wedding ceremony. My favorite photo of these college sweethearts is the blurry black & white photo of the two of them dancing, featured towards the end of this post.

BOOGIE FEVER! This post is part of a series I started a few weeks back. Here, the folks are really feeling it! I love catching these moments!
HANDS IN THE AIR / JUMP AROUND! There’s no greater opportunity for capturing moments than on the dance floor. Here are some of my favorites!
JUST DANCE! I have been finishing up the remainder of editing for a wedding I photographed just before Memorial Day (see the links below) and I keep returning my gaze to this group of photos. The images of this charming young-at-heart gentleman make me smile and I thought I’d share them with you.

KELLY & WILL GET MARRIED (Part 2): I first previewed this wedding at the end of May 2012, primarily focusing on the wedding couple and those in the wedding party.
Here, I share a few more shots of the bride and groom, leading with a favorite of mine — a B&W digital infrared portrait of Kelly and Will with the George Washington Bridge in the distant background. Then, I lend my focus to the design details, more moments and other characters that combined for beautiful day.
