A FAMILY LIFESTYLE PORTRAIT: I had the pleasure of photographing this family in early November. I always prefer to use natural light for my portraits. On this particular day, the early winter sun created a magical glow for both the indoor and outdoor images!
KELLY & WILL GET MARRIED: The forecast called for rain but it held off until (exactly) after the wedding ended…rain could not have dampened the beauty and fun of the day.

MITCHELL & NATE’s PRE-WEDDING PARTY: Sometimes referred to as a rehearsal dinner, this gathering took place the evening before the wedding — at the same site as the wedding was to take place the following day — the site of a wonderful restaurant on Seneca Lake called Dano’s. It’s located the Finger Lakes region, an area of New York that Mitchell & Nate are particularly fond of.
The patio of the restaurant can be scene in one the photos to the left and additional tents were erected out back overlooking the lake. It was a wonderful weekend — the weather and the setting really coming together for some lovely moments.
ALICE & JUAN GET MARRIED [PART 2, Behind the Scenes]: Can you imagine what it must be like to get married in Central Park with microphones and video cameras pointing in your face every which way you turn — with producers and directors cautiously and purposefully involved in the process?
Last fall, I was asked to shoot to an episode of the BBC program Don’t Tell the Bride, a series in which the groom must choose every detail of his wedding, from venue to cake to wedding dress. Prior to doing a full edit of all the photos I took, I posted a preview soon after the event which you can view here.
In today’s post, I’m featuring those who made the event happen, from the BBC crew who shot the episode to Dan Fehlig of The Upper Crust who designed and put on the reception at 91 (see last shot).
Make sure you check out PART 3, The Outtakes and More…
The episode aired in the U.K. just before Christmas. Check out an edited two-minute teaser of the episode.
